JUNIOR CERT 5 mins starter (work on vocal/letter/postcards/notes)

JUNIOR CERT 5 mins starter (work on vocal/letter/postcards/notes)

A list of bullet points taken from the Junior Cert Higher Level exam (LETTERS/FORMAL LETTERS/POSTCARDS/NOTES from 2017 to 2000) which I cut into strips and put in a jar. A student pick one at the beginning of the lesson and that's the one they will have to write for 5 min. I also use this technique to work on the listening and the vocabulary (see the list "VOCABULARY-5MIN"). For example if the students pick "SPELLING", I spell 5 names which they have to write. these document can be edited to suit your class. You could choose only the part that you have done. It is a good way to revise the letters, formal letters, postcards, notes and vocabulary. Enjoy! Feedback much appreciated.

JUNIOR CERT postcards 5 min starters

JUNIOR CERT postcards 5 min starters

A list of bullet points all taken from the exam papers which I cut and put in a jar. Every lesson, a student picks one piece of paper and that's the bullet point the class will have to write. This document has all the bullet points from the Junior Cert Higher Level from 2017 to 2005 (I think). It is editable. I have a jar in my class with a mix of vocabulary (for example if they pick "phone numbers", I call out 5 phone numbers which they have to write, good to work on the listening) and bullet points from the postcards, letters and formal letters (from 2017 to 2000). These are available on TES from my shop for 2 euro. (to see my shop click on my yellow smiley icon on the top!) Enjoy!

GCSE French Speaking questions

GCSE French Speaking questions

Created some questions to give to my GCSE French pupils but some of their answers didn't quite work with the question, so I adapted it and added the English translations for the questions.

French: Tu or vous?

French: Tu or vous?

This resource explicitly outlines a very broad cultural element such as the great distinctions as to when to use the 'tu' or the 'vous' form. Students complete the quiz reassuring them of any unfamiliar vocabulary and then they read the cartoon strip followed by another quiz on the story and there are follow up activities on it. This resource is geared towards learners of Key Stage 2/3 level. Happy teaching and learning!
