Animal Skeleton Bones - PowerPoint + 31 Fun Teaching Activities For These Cards

Animal Skeleton Bones - PowerPoint + 31 Fun Teaching Activities For These Cards

Are you teaching your class about animal skeleton bones? I have collected together a wide range of different photos of skeletons. It is a nice way to show them the differences and similarities between different animals. For example, you can show them the spine and discuss what different animals have done with their arms and legs. This pack contains a 31 Teaching Activity Teacher Guide using these photo flash cards. These activities are quick and fun to do and will improve both your students' memory and vocabulary skills. You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different bones being shown in each of the photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about Animal Skeleton Bones. The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different types of Animal Skeleton Bones. The students can then compare and contrast the bones to those found in their own bodies. The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

KS3 Science Bumper Fun Crossword Megapack. 10 Sets of 10 Included (with answers)

KS3 Science Bumper Fun Crossword Megapack. 10 Sets of 10 Included (with answers)

A collection of 10 sets of Key Stage Three Crosswords with answers attached in the separate files of course (I threw in an extra one as I realised there were a couple duplicated words). Suitable for both high low achievers. Makes for good fun, revision & recap during around exam time. A welcome break from the more intensive & sometimes mundane revision. Also a good way to keep them busy while I get on with marking, hence why I created so many! I also have corresponding word-searches, match up activities anagrams which serve the same purpose, so if you find this useful I’m sure you’ll find those are too.

Nutrition "Which food do I need and how can I tell?"

Nutrition "Which food do I need and how can I tell?"

Help your students gain insight into their nutritional habits and realize their healthy and ... not so healthy food choices! The aim of this activity is to encourage the students to read food labels in order to collect and analyze nutritional information and have them think critically about the products they buy for food. It is suggested for implementation in 7 and 8th grade. As a first step, discuss with your students about the food pyramid as a tool for recording and assessing their food choices and then use the nutritional information worksheet to practice data collection from food labels and promote informed nutritional choices.

September 4 Science Pack - Skeletons, Teeth and Senses PowerPoint and Display Material

September 4 Science Pack - Skeletons, Teeth and Senses PowerPoint and Display Material

I have created 4 great teaching packs for Science: Animal Skeleton Bones, Human Skeleton Bones, Teeth and Your Senses. You can download these packs, print them off and have an instant wonderful display. Alternatively, you would use them as PowerPoint presentations within a lesson to introduce or review a topic. They make excellent talking prompts for the class! Animal Skeletons: See different examples of animal bones. How are they similar? How do they differ from each other? There are bones of fish, whales, snake and cows, to mention just a few. Human Skeletons: Here is a nice resource pack which contains a lot of the different bones students need to learn about. The photos are fantastic. Teeth: This includes what we need to have nice teeth and a few photos of what happens if we are not careful with our teeth. There are also some animal pictures so you can discuss animal teeth shapes. Senses: A nice teaching pack about our 5 senses. This would make an excellent display or sorting activity.
