This unit is all about having fun using the intention of playful animals. The main goal is to teach students about choreography basics like motifs, actions, and dynamics. They will learn and refine a specific technical motif to improve their performance skills. Students will also create their own movement sequences using choreographic principles. They’ll develop the ability to respond creatively and critically to dance works, including ‘Still Life’ by David Bintley. Alongside this, they’ll gain an understanding of professional studio practices in dance.
