I have a copy of this on my classroom wall and a set of cards for pupils when they are doing transcription pairwork.
It's a list of punctuation phrases in German and English.

German - Transcription pairwork template
Use this template to practise transcription work in pairs.
There is a sheet for person A and one for person B.
Type the 2 different texts into the relevant boxes (they must be 2 different texts). Pupils then take it in turns to read their text to their partner, who must then write what they hear in the empty box.
After they have both finished, they then compare their written text to the original on their partner's sheet and tally any errors made.
Trapdoor template
This activity can be done in pairs or as a class.
As a class, one pupil leaves the room while everyone else decides what the correct sequence should be. The pupil re-enters the room and tries to guess the sequence. If incorrect, they have to start again.
It's better as a pairwork activity. One pupil decides which options they want to use in the complete paragraph. The other reads through the paragraph, guessing the options as they go. If incorrect, they must start again.
Cue lots of laughter!
Translation pairwork template
Pupils work in pairs. Give them a text to translate on the sheet individually to start with, then they swap for their partner to check (in their opinion). Their partner puts a mark in the box (my pupils like drawing sad faces for some reason!) for each error they think their partner has made. Encourages discussion.

I use this to do 'walk-throughs' with classes, especially GCSE.
Show them the first section to translate, discuss and then show them how you translated it.
Feedback from my classes has been great for this. They have found it very useful. It's almost like doing 'workings out' in maths.
Tarsia puzzle template
Type in a word/phrase it the TL on one line and then the equivalent in English opposite it (as in the example). Do this within each inner section and then cut it up into cards. Pupils must then form a triangle with the cards by matching the TL to the English.

Speaking Trivial Pursuit template
Good for revision for speaking exams. Pupils can do this in pairs. In advance, choose the topics or sub-topics. Their partner decides if their answer is good enough. If so, they colour in the segment in the relevant colour. If not, they discuss why and may try again. This is just one of many possible activities.
Sentence Race - template
Groups of 3 or 4. Choose a pupil at random to choose a number. Click on the number (on your computer) to reveal a word. All pupils have 30 seconds to write a sentence using that word. The most impressive (and correct) sentence wins a point for their team.
Sentence Builder - template
Students choose a number and have to make a sentence with the word shown. Depending upon ability, they could make new sentences with the following words chosen, or they could try to make a story with the following words.
Sentence Auction - template
You must buy sentences at every shop.
Each sentence costs 1€.
Each sentence is worth a different amount of winnings. Draw your Euros into your winning column. If you run out of Euros in your bank, you can use your winnings to buy sentences.
The winners have the most Euros.

Say Something - Dice pairwork
Pupils roll the dice and then: ask a question, give a statement, say something positive, say something negative, say something in the future, say something in the past about a given topic.
Say Something - cards
Make these into cards. Then pupils have to pick one at random and say something: a question, a statement, a positive thing, a negative thing, something in the future or something in the past (each represented by a symbol).
