New Spanish GCSE writing support bundle

New Spanish GCSE writing support bundle

A series of resources to support GCSE students preparing for their GCSE writing exams. The bundle includes three GCSE writing papers at both foundation and higher level, one for each theme of the new course, and a booklet with 24 90-word questions, eight for each theme (two per topic). This booklet has been picked by TES to be part of their GCSE revision hub. Finally, the resource includes a Complex structures guide, with a variety of tenses and structures to encourage the higher ability students to work independently and use increasingly complex language. Finally, the bundle includes a “Correct the mistakes” activity, which includes 54 sentences (covering all topics) with mistakes in them for the students to correct, all based on some of the most common mistakes I keep seeing in students’ work.

KS3 Spa Viva 1 Module 3.3 to 3.5 plus Assessment Revision Lesson 75 min - 4 resources

KS3 Spa Viva 1 Module 3.3 to 3.5 plus Assessment Revision Lesson 75 min - 4 resources

This completes the third module of Year 7 using the Viva 1 textbook as a basis for the course. Two lessons are available for 3.1 and 3.2 with this bundle combining 3.3, 3.4, 3.5 and a revision lesson for the assessments. My 75-minute lessons are very structured with clear learning objectives and learning checks for each lesson objective. The learning objectives go over the two lessons and the lessons reference each other to reinforce learning. The objectives can be edited to reflect the KS3 assessment system in your school, allowing you to customise the learning for your pupils. Each lesson is easy enough to edit into 2 lessons if you teach hour-long lessons or lesson plus extension activities. Best when used with the textbook and the electronic resources.

La clase (Objetos) - Juego de correspondencias & Poster

La clase (Objetos) - Juego de correspondencias & Poster

POSTER /FLASHCARDS This is a poster to refer to when playing the Me dejas…? game. Print the document one sided, on A3 paper (4 pages sheet) or A4 (2 pages per sheet). Then laminate and use when playing the game or for reference in role-play activities. GAME This is a classic card game of pairs, similar to Go Fish!. It is designed for the students to practice asking for and offering or refusing to borrow any of the school items in Spanish. The goal is to form and discard pairs of cards. Print the document one-sided, laminate and cut out the cards. The ideal number of players is 4 (4 cards for each student), but it will also work with 2 to 8 players. For bigger classes, you might want to print several copies. Instructions: Distribute all the colored cards. Put the black and white cards face down in a pile. Students take turns to take a black and white card. If it matches one of their cards, they say “Tengo …” and put it aside. If they don’t, they ask another child "Me dejas …? If they have it, they say “Si, toma.” and they give it to the child who asked for it. If they don’t have it, they say “Lo siento, no tengo.” The child with the most pairs wins.

GCSE Revison Spanish Speaking Practice New AQA

GCSE Revison Spanish Speaking Practice New AQA

This is the second batch of pre-exam speaking revision resources that I created for use with my own year 11s. I wanted to provide them with sample role plays, photos and general conversations so they could physically have the handouts in front of them containing the role play and photo, as well as instructions on the back so they could practice the whole speaking with their partner. The main idea was to facilitate a practice as close to the real thing as possible for my students AND provide them with exemplar answers and key vocab and verbs to help them improve their speaking answers before or after they had practiced with one another. The handouts include the following: FOUNDATION STUDENTS: The themes of the photo, role play and general conversation are: Work (role play) , School (Photo) and Holidays (Part 2, general conversation). HANDOUT 1: Foundation role play and photo for Student A on page 1, with page 2 containing the questions which A will ask their partner B. Clear instructions are there for each part of the speaking exam, together with the unpredicted questions. These will be different from the unpredicted questions which B will have on their handout. HANDOUT 2: Foundation role play and photo for Student B on page 1, with page 2 containing the questions which B will ask their partner A. Clear instructions are there for each part of the speaking exam, together with the unpredicted questions. These will be different from the unpredicted questions which A will have on their handout. HANDOUT 3: Sample answers for both A and B foundation students with key vocab provided. In my lessons, I got students to prepare their answers first (gave them 12 minutes) then got them to read through the sample answers and use these to improve their own answers. Then they practiced the speaking with their partners. HIGHER STUDENTS: The themes are as follows: School (role play) , Jobs (Photo) and Holidays/ Environment (Part 2, general conversation). HANDOUT 4: Higher role play and photo for Student A on page 1, with page 2 containing the questions which A will ask their partner B. Clear instructions are there for each part of the speaking exam, together with the unpredicted questions. These will be different from the unpredicted questions which B will have on their handout. HANDOUT 5: Higher role play and photo for Student B on page 1, with page 2 containing the questions which B will ask their partner A. Clear instructions are there for each part of the speaking exam, together with the unpredicted questions. These will be different from the unpredicted questions which A will have on their handout. HANDOUT 6: Sample answers for both A and B higher students with key vocab provided. You could do as suggested above for foundation students or use it as a reading / translation exercise.

Unit 1 Everyday life at home and school (Section B) - Edexcel International GCSE (9-1) Spanish

Unit 1 Everyday life at home and school (Section B) - Edexcel International GCSE (9-1) Spanish

This resource includes a 90 slide ppt presentation I prepared to teach the new Edexcel International GCSE 9-1 for my Year 4 group. As the textbook isn’t great, I created many extra resources to combine with working on the textbook. What’s included: resources for Unit 1: Everyday life at home and school, which at the same time includes activities for section: 1B School Life and Routine --> 1B.1 Asi es mi dia en el insti; 1B.2 Mi dia escolar; 1B.3 En la pista de atletismo del insti; 1B.4 LLa vida escolar. It comes with two extra lists of vocabulary for students to revise, and two versions of vocabulary tests to be done at the end of every-subsection, and overall a good range of activities that train the 4 skills, and grammar. I have also attached the list of vocabulary provided by the textbook for the Unit 1 Everyday life at home and school, corresponding to sections 1A to 1D, ALREADY FILLED IN WITH THE TRANSLATIONS for students to use as revision if you dont want to spend time from the lesson/homework to get them to write them down. I have different bundles available on my profile for the next sections: 1B School life and routine, 1C Food and drink, 1D Common ailments and healthy lifestiles.
