Picto Starter: Quiz on the early years of the life and times of Henry VIII

Picto Starter: Quiz on the early years of the life and times of Henry VIII

Read the questions provided or edit to use your own. Each time a student answers correctly, remove one of the squares covering the picture by clicking on the square. Eventually a picture of the ‘Field of the Cloth of Gold’ by Hans Holbien the Younger will be fully revealed. The winner is the student who first realises what the picture represents. If none of the students succeed in working it out, the teacher can work through the image, discussing who is visualised, why they are there, and how events are portrayed.

English Civil War in World Clouds

This is a collection of different word clouds that cover the English Civil War, Charles I, Oliver Cromwell, Ireton, Fairfax and more. They can be used for display purposes and 'thinking' starters. They can also be used to create creative starters and worksheets. I will be doing this myself.
