MACS Charity Assembly for Primary

MACS Charity Assembly for Primary

Two assemblies which focus on the work done by the MACS charity (Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia and Coloboma Support). MACS is a charity for young people who were born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes, so the assemblies focus on the importance of valuing our vision and how we should treat everyone with respect and without prejudice. The assemblies focus on the work MACS do to help and support young people. One of the assemblies is to raise awareness of the work MACS does and the other is for schools interested in fundraising for the charity. These are especially useful for schools teaching topics on prejudice and discrimination and also schools with a child who uses MACS' services. New Year, New Goals! Create Your Own IB PYP Goals Display for Little Kids

New Year, New Goals! Create Your Own IB PYP Goals Display for Little Kids

These goal setting banners or bunting are a great way to reflect upon the upcoming year and to set goals related to the IB PYP Learner Profile. The finished result looks wonderful in your IB PYP classroom. And those goals are hanging right there, under those little noses, keeping everyone accountable.  They are easy to assemble and contain all of the traits for the Learner Profile, with options for global thinker, courageous and with UK & USA spelling. Use them to hang or to pin as a beautiful wall display at the beginning of your school year or for New Year. I designed these for lower elementary; 1st-3rd grade. There is a version for big kids too. 3rd-5th grades. Simply print, trim the bottom corners off and staple each edge down below the dotted line to ensure leaving a space to loop the string through. Then, once they are all folded over and stapled, position the banners in the order you prefer and string them together, by pulling the string through each folded area. It is a good idea to attach the string to a pencil to make it easier to “thread” the string through each pennant. You may wish to laminate the pennants before you fold them over.
