Fractions, decimals and percentages vocabulary, KS1 and KS 2, working wall display.

Hi all, If you're working on fractions, percentages and decimals this week then here's my working wall/permanent wall display vocab for you. I normally cut these out and laminate them, that way they'll last a long time. All of these are editable - both text and colour, and you can add slides if you want to. Hopefully I haven't missed anything. These are all free to download but they do take a while to create and centre, so please review them for me! Cheers, Emlo

Fractions, Decimals and Percentages Matching Cards

Fractions, Decimals and Percentages Matching Cards

There are 6 different percentages that can be matched with fractions for lower abilities (Year 2 and 3) and then there are decimals that can be used with higher abilities and KS2 students. There is also 2 pages to choose from for the reverse side. One option is the shapes so children can check there answers independently because the 100%, 1/1 and 1.0 will all have a complete square on the reverse. The other option is the basic cover more suitable for memory matching games where students take it in turns to try to find a pair or a set of matching cards. These are an excellent morning or extension activity that children can use independently or in small groups.

Primary Maths bundle of entirely free ICT resources (links to the BEST resources on the web)

Primary Maths bundle of entirely free ICT resources (links to the BEST resources on the web)

This is a catalogued set of ICT-based Maths resources covering all the major topics in the Primary Maths (KS1 and KS2) curriculum. Rather than just creating an enormous, endless list of (variable quality) resources, I've attempted to collect just a relatively small number of the very best resources freely available. There's three types of resource: - key 'tools' for the teacher to use on an IWB (e.g. Place Value Blocks, a Flip Counter, an Empty Number Line, a One Hundred Square, an Abacus, etc.) - demonstration activities that help the teacher explain/visualise a particular concept (these resources are pre-pended by the word 'Visualisation_') - practice activities for students to use in order to actually develop their skills. These are intended to be used by students working individually on a PC/laptop - with the teacher or supervising TA directing the student as to which particular topic they should practice. ONCE DOWNLOADED, THE COMPRESSED ZIP FILE NEEDS TO BE UNZIPPED. Please leave feedback, especially if you know of any better freely-available resources to teach a particular topic than the ones I have selected.
