AS Geography Edexcel Unit 1: Global Challenges - Full revision notes and case studies

AS Geography Edexcel Unit 1: Global Challenges - Full revision notes and case studies

This 21-page resource was created for the AS Edexcel Unit 1 exam. It covers both of the topics within the exam- 'World at risk' and 'Going global'. It contains the content needed for the exam, as well as a wide range of case studies for each topic. It also contains diagrams, which can be referenced in student's answers. One student last year used solely this revision document to revise from, and gained an A in the exam (100% UMS), which proves that it is successful! This is more advantageous than a revision guide, because I have formatted it a bit like the questions in the exam, and the bullet points allow clear/concise information, which is still suitable for this exam.

Year 5 / 6 Poetry Reading Lesson on Hunger and Food Bank

This brilliant resource is based around the theme of hunger and people using food banks. This PSHE/ Geography lesson has a reading English focus. The children look for underlying messages in the poem. Excellent poetry resource linked to issues in the UK today.

Geography key words quiz

Geography key words quiz

Designed for the Edexcel Geography B, however many of the key words will be transferable to all exam boards. Click on the number, which takes you to a key word. The student then has to tell you the meaning of the key word. Click on the square button, to take you back to the main page. I aware house points for the correct answer. Students can then be used to select the next person, or pick students based on target groups. A great revision game.

Christian Aid Week Conversation Starter PowerPoint Presentation

Christian Aid Week Conversation Starter PowerPoint Presentation

I have used a wide range of inspirations to create a fun conversation starting lesson about Christian Aid week. This lesson looks at different issues which may be covered in Christian Aid week such as what is war, what is peace, what is a home and how we can help our fellow man, woman and child. I have started using conversation starters in my own lessons with great effect and I think you will also enjoy using them in your own lessons. As stated in the presentation, while these resources will help you present your Christian Aid week lessons in class, I have no connection with Christian Aid.
