2D shapes - naming and properties

2D shapes - naming and properties

Collection of worksheets for naming 2D shapes and looking at their sides and corners. Cut and stick versions allow those who are less fluent writers to engage with the task more independently. It can be a good idea to have an adult cut out the shape names/ number of sides en masse with a guillotine prior to the lesson, to allow children to focus on the shapes and their properties.

Year 4 Consolidation - White Rose Summer Week 12

Year 4 Consolidation - White Rose Summer Week 12

This pack of resources covers Year 4 consolidation for the 12th week of the Summer term. These assessment style questions, which follow an ‘I do, we do, you do’ structure, are designed to be used as consolidation questions for the White Rose Y4 units including: Decimals Money Time Statistics Properties of shape A suggested way to use this resource would be for the teacher to first model answering the question (I do). Then, the teacher guides the children answering the second question (we do). Finally, the children answer a question independently (you do). Overall, there are 40 different questions in this resource, with 3 variations of each question: giving a total of 120 questions. We hope you find these worksheets useful and save you time planning. We aim to produce resources which are of the highest quality - we strongly believe that the visual aspects of these worksheets enable deep understanding of the areas being taught. Once you have used these resources, we would love to hear what worked particularly well and what could be improved on: we often edit our resources. 3D Shape Memory

3D Shape Memory

MORE THAN JUST A MEMORY GAME!! Though this was created as a memory game, its cards can be used for so many other fun and educational activities, games and study aides. Print these pages out double-sided. This will make the page containing a colorful design the cover, or top, of the cards. Laminate the printed sheets to make for more durable playing cards (printing with card stock can also help with durability). Cut the cards along the black line. Once cut, mix the cards up, lay them out, and take turns flipping cards over. Kids will be exercising their memory, learning, and having fun while doing so! :)
