Half and quarter turns anti clockwise and clockwise, IWB slides, Year 2

SMART notebook presentation aimed at Year 2. Teaches half and quarter turns clockwise and anti clockwise.

Year 2 worksheets, full, quarter, half and three quarter turns clockwise and anticlockwise.

Year 2 resource, differentiated 2 ways. Asks children to make full, quarter, half and three quarter turns both clockwise and anti-clockwise. They are asked to follow the instructions and rotate the arrows, then draw the arrow's final position. I would recommend teaching fractions, then time before tackling this work, as this learning can be drawn upon to aid understanding of direction. Lots of practical, concrete work is needed first. I made blank clocks with arrows and split pins for the children to practice with before we went anywhere near this worksheet.

Year 3/4: Maths Map Making Activity

In this small resource pack, you will receive an A3 sheet on which the children must add their own pictures and drawings. There’s a list of tasks down the right side, and the Learning Objective is clearly outlined at the top of the page. If you need anything else, don’t hesitate to contact me directly and I can help you any way you need. Miss Austin

Rotation grids, KS2, clockwise and anticlockwise.

Hi all, Here are three worksheets that focus on rotation using simple grids moving clockwise and anticlockwise. There's one on a 4 x 4 grid, one on a 5 x 5 grid and one on a 6 x 6 grid. If you want to change some of the vocabulary, such as left turn/right turn/90 degrees etc, then you can as the sheets are completely editable. These resources are free to download but do take a long time to create so please review them for me! Cheers, Emlo
