A whole bundle of activities used to teach the German alphabet. This includes: a full PPT including iPad activities, games and differentiated LOs; a full lesson plan; a stick in sheet with the pronunciations of the letters and an activity sheet. To be used with the German Alphabet song!

Whole lesson aimed at mastering the two main auxiliaries. It starts with teaching subject pronouns in German and then goes on with SEIN and HABEN. Planned for a year 7, but useful also for other years. A lot of games included with minimum preparation, i.e. mini-whiteboards.

Two lessons based on pages 14/15 of echo 1. Aim of the two lessons is to describe what you have in your school bag. Introduction to the indefinite article in the nominative and accusative case (Ich habe einen...). A lot of fun activities, such as the one where Harry Potter describes what pieces of equipment he has bought in Diagon Alley (Winkelgasse) for Hogwarts! Very exciting. The presentation part of vocab has been adapted from a resource found on TES.

This is a whole lesson Power Point by the end of which pupils should be able to answer two questions: Woher kommst du?/ Wo wohnst du?- so it is about saying where you come from and in which country you live. A lot o fun activities, some of them differentiated for different levels of ability, including a snakes and ladders game on countries adapted from one I found on TES.

This is the first of a series of Harry Potter themed lessons due to a whole school cross-curricular project. In this lesson they will have to guess Harry Potters film titles in other languages and they will be introduced to the magic world of Harry Potter in German. Very exciting and a great way to engage pupils with German through a project-based approach!

German sounds - learning every sound in the German language in a fun way!

This resource includes: - a handout containing 6 poems which contain ALL of the sounds in the German language. By learning the poems and how to read them accurately, all of the sounds are taught in a fun way. - a randometer of all of the key sounds in German to practise with once the listening poems have been used. Start the slide show and press "s"; to stop it on a slide. Then students recall the correct pronunciation of that sound. Press "s" again to repeat.
