More or Less and Numbers in between

Basic PPT for use with mixed year 1 / 2 class. Children are to give numbers in between 2 numbers, show higher or lower numbers using number fans/whiteboards and find a number from a description. I have used it as introduction or plenary - children have to think quickly for the answers before the screen changes

Maths Wizard Game

Maths Wizard Game

This powerpoint prsentation was made by myself on my first teaching practice in Jan (Yr1). I used it as a plenary, but could be used in any part of a lesson. The questions can also be easily adapted to suit whatever maths topic you are covering- I was doing number bonds to 8 at the time. It could aslo be made easier/harder according to your class' ability.

Number Grids

Number Grids

Suitable for any key stage. Make any size number grid from 2 by 2 up to 15 by 15 by simply inputting the size you want (doesn’t have to be a square grid). There are 3 sheets - one starting at the top left (eg for T Totals or Multiplication Tables), one starting at the bottom left (eg for Number Stairs or Snakes and Ladders) and one which allows you to select which multiples are to be shown. Then simply print off any that you have created. Number Grid 2 allows two multiples to be highlighted simultaneously. Can now be used up to 15 by 15 square.
