#### Percentages of Quantities - Calculator Methods - inc Reverse Percentage Change and Compound Interest

Resources I made for an interview lesson with a mixed ability group that had a wide range of abilities. Starts with a RAG activity so students can select their own starting point, which can range from Changing Percentages to Decimals, to Compound Interest. Each worksheet is an explanation at the topic, some basic questions and then exam questions. Enough resources to easily last two or three lessons. #### CSI Math Mystery - The Missing FIFA Football Cup 2018 Soccer

This CSI themed Math Murder Mystery activity will engage students by taking them on a journey to solve problems and puzzles. It is based around the Russia 2018 FIFA Football World Cup. Students narrow down the suspects by completing the activities and marking them off from the suspect list until one person is left. The problems in this math mystery focus on their basic facts so is suitable for a variety of age groups. So whether your students call it football or soccer…enjoy. I wrote these for my year 11 class after coming across a particularly horrible question in an EdExcel GCSE Practice Paper. The problems require students to do (at least) two conversions. Some correct numbers for predicted strategies are given, but there are lots of possible approaches. Beware - these questions are hard!

#### Functional Skills Maths Original Revision Task L1 and L2.

Here is a revision task I write to use with my adult groups during revision sessions. They are designed to be completed as independent revision tasks. They are 4 pages long and include the following: Calculate the weight of the clothes - Convert within metric (grams to KG) and Imperial to metric for L2. Work out the amount you will get from the clothes. Work out mean and range of sales (includes median and mode for L2) Draw a table (L1) and a bar chart (L1 and L2) Work out the percentage of days sales were over a certain number. Answers included.
