Data Handling Black Cab Traffic Light Waiting Time

Data Handling Black Cab Traffic Light Waiting Time

Microsoft Excel required A new set of numbers every time the file is opened 10 different London cabs use the same route during the day and go through 6 sets of traffic lights. An even number means the light is green and the cab does not have to stop and wait. An odd number, however, means the light is red and the cab has to wait at the traffic light. The time that the cab has to wait is in the Waiting Time in seconds column. Use the data to work out the total waiting time in minutes and seconds that each cab had on the journey. Use the data to work out the total amount of waiting time in minutes and seconds, each Traffic Light had. A purposeful resource that works really well as an extension or homework activity.
