Work out the sequence of events, from Magna Carta’s issue to its reissue by Henry III = by joining boxes with lines.

Answer 11 questions - six about historical events (e.g Why did The Pope allow John to fight The Barons?) , and five which encourage pupils to compare those events with daily situations in their lives (e.g. Give an example of someone having to re-make a promise after they had already broken it.) . It’s all about empathy.

Would ideally be used for homework; could be used as an in-class assessment too, if you’re into that.

Answer sheet covers the sequencing activity and the six historical questions, but not the five “empathy” questions, as each pupil will have a unique answer for these. Unless they just copy off each other…
