Interactive quadratic equations graphs transformations are carried by changing the appropriate parameters of quadratic equations expressed in the following form:
y = a(x - b)^2 + d
The parameters a, b and d are changed to observe how they control the transformations. Students are expected to summarise their observations.
In addition, all the steps in the derivations of the general quadratic formula is presented. However, the explanations of why each step follows the previous one is intended for discussion with the students.
