Swimming Pool Wordsearch Starter Activity Swim PE Homework Cover Lesson Plenary

Swimming Pool Wordsearch Starter Activity Swim PE Homework Cover Lesson Plenary

Wordsearch on the theme of 'Swimming Pool'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!

The Story of a Piece of Paper. Aeroplane activities and mark-making.

The Story of a Piece of Paper. Aeroplane activities and mark-making.

I have used these resources to teach The Story of a Piece of Paper from the Write Dance in the Early Years programme that helps children with their fine motor skills and mark-making/writing confidence. However, there are resources and ideas here that could be used when looking at the topic of travel or at the end of the summer term when discussing going on holiday. I hope it helps.

End of year activity pack

End of year activity pack

A collection of activities for the end of year at a primary school. My class is a year 3/4 class but the resources can be modified to suit your class. It is just a bit of fun for children to help them reminisce about the past academic year.

Back To School Backpacks

Back To School Backpacks

Two really fun options for your students to create a Back To School Backpack Option #1 - Use all of the templates provided and students will craft their own backpacks. Option #2 - Begin with a paper bag and use the templates provided to create a paper bag backpack. Both great options ... you decide what is best for your students. There are many options for writing activities included: - on the straps - on the front cover - a secret pocket which students complete inserts and drop into the pocket - 4 interactive templates created so you can have students tell you more about themselves, what makes them happy, what they are good at, a little about their family, a goal for the year, etc. - have used graphics for boys and for girls What you need: Paper (light cardstock would be extra special), coloring pencils, glue, paper bags (if that is the option you choose) I have included step by step directions and visuals to assist you in assembling these backpacks. Also, view the YouTube video on how to assemble these backpacks at: https://youtu.be/wRzF5eGyFME Look at the video and decide which backpack is better suited for your students - the paper bag backpack for the little ones, the regular backpack for students in the older grades. You must save this file on your computer. Then open and print on 8 1/2 x 14 (legal size) paper. Otherwise, your product will not be set up properly. Hope you love it! The completed backpack will stand about 8" tall. Use it all year long and have students complete items and drop them into their backpacks!
