Similarity and Congruence KS4

A set of 6 worksheets with answers that cover all you will need up to GCSE including area and volume questions. Similar Triangles 1 gives 8 pairs of triangles and asks the question are they similar ? Similar Triangles 2 gives 8 pairs of similar triangles and asks the students to calculate unknown sides. Similar Triangles 3 6 Questions on similar triangles for higher level which assumes knowledge of angles in parallel lines. Similar Shapes (2D) looking the areas of similar shapes. Similar Objects (3D) looking at the ratio of lengths, areas and volumes (and masses) Congruent Triangles - Given two triangles are they congruent and by which set of conditions (assumes knowledge of Pythagoras) Answer Sheet.

Congruent Shapes KS2/KS3

Lesson for identifying congruent shapes and learning the meaning of congruence. Aimed at lower ability groups or KS2. Conditions for Congruence sheets used as memory tasks in groups of 4. 1 of the team comes up for each different sheet and has 30 seconds to remember the information and take it back to their team.

Shape terminology fill- in sheet

I think I originally devised this to accompany a PowerPoint presentation, though the presentation in question is the intellectual property of my workplace and not me. Anyway you might find it useful as an accompaniment to your lesson if you’re covering terms like congruent and similar. It’s designed to be kept handy for revision/ homework purposes.
