GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 CHALLENGE CARDS

GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 CHALLENGE CARDS

PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING GERMAN LANGUAGE SKILLS AS WELL AS PRACTISING AND REVISING GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 - 36 CHALLENGE CARDS WITH RECORDING SHEET AND FULL ANSWER KEY! GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 CHALLENGE CARDS really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of GERMAN numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarise themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling numbers in GERMAN. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on Numbers 0-31, but also as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn how to count in GERMAN, but also to enjoy working with GERMAN, and to feel confident about doing so. The questions range in complexity and challenge, and are great for honing numeracy skills too - especially if calculators are not allowed! The resource comprises the following 3 files: Set of 36 cards, 4 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Print, laminate and cut out. Depending on how long you want the activity to last for, choose a particular number of cards per small group of students, and place them in a tin, bowl or small box so that students can easily select a card, and then replace at the end of the activity. You can simply place all the cards in the bowl/box and let students work their way through, either in a single lesson, or across a series of lessons - I’ve found 15-20 minutes across several lessons can work really well. Students do need to remember to file their recording sheets carefully! 2-page answer recording sheet. Best printed double-sided. 2-page answer key, again best printed double-sided, and laminated for longevity. One answer key for each small group is sufficient. Students find this reference sheet really useful - download it for free here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/german-numbers-0-31-reference-sheets-11756058 Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - this resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. German - conditional 'Zimmer 101' writing/ speaking

German - conditional 'Zimmer 101' writing/ speaking

I created this for my German class. It's a 'Room 101'-style worksheet. Over three tasks students practise their conditional tense using 'würden'. In the first section students are choosing between 3 options and give reasons why they chose and answer. In the second part they prepare their own 90 word answer, on what they would put into room 101 and why. They also have a support sheet and there is the option of extending the task to preparing a presentation and discussion. All instructions are given in German.
