Easily adaptable for home learning. This PowerPoint introduces pupils to a total of 36 items of clothing. The clothes are introduced in 3 sets of 12 items of clothing. In each set there is plenty of practice of each item. Pupils are able to practice answers to question about what they wear and what other people wear/ are wearing (present tense only). There are various activities for them to complete and a lengthy worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. Also enclosed in the pack is a word search document. After practicing all of the clothes, the PowerPoint revises colours and goes on to explain adjectival colour agreements in the accusative with lots of examples. There is a table that pupils can copy or it can be printed, as a reference for all future work with colours in the accusative form. There is then a range of exercises for pupils to practice talking about clothes and colours. This is a tried and tested method to ensure and check the comprehension throughout.

This is a plan and resources for a beginner’s Italian lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning the vocabulary for different items of clothing in Italian. This PowerPoint helps students learn a little bit about the cultural representation of Colombian clothing in “Encanto” while practising their vocabulary. At first, they have some slides describing some of the traditional clothes of Colombia represented in the movie. Next, they work on labeling and describing what the characters are wearing as well as, describe their personalities as we revisit adjectives and descriptions. This is a great activity after showing Encanto OR just to add some culture to your clothing unit. Enjoy :)
