PERSONAL TIMELINE BIOGRAPHY These two worksheets are designed to showcase important events of a child´s life through writing and drawing. There are 4 lined spaces for children to describe the events they believe to be important milestones, and then draw them in the four blank squares on the next sheet. This is a double-sided timeline that could be used for a student's life and it helps introduce the concept of timelines.

Timeline resource designed for students to study the 1912 to 1945 British context of Priestley’s An Inspector Calls, which includes direct links to major themes and key quotations from characters. The resource is packed with 35 quotes from the play, over 20 contextually relevant facts and statistics relating to the key themes, and insights into Priestley’s own life. Easily printable onto a landscape A4 page. An accompanying visual aid poster can be found on the second page, providing contextually relevant images (including contemporary posters and cartoons) that can be printed on the reverse-side of the timeline itself. This resource package also includes the ‘Inspector Calls Theme Map’ resource advertised within my shop, as a complimentary activity sheet that works alongside the poster. Theme maps are immensely useful for generating personalised quotation banks for the play’s major themes and key characters.

The lesson is the first in The Second World War unit of study. This can be used as a one off lesson to introduce and explore the early life of Adolf Hitler. It is ideal for students who have some knowledge of the treaty of Versailles and can now begin to explore the role of Adolf Hitler and his rise to power during the interwar years 1921-1939. If you are in need of several lessons linked to Adolf Hitler, then this lesson and resources can also be found in my Four lesson World War Two bundle pack, which offers great savings and prep time dramatically reduced. check out the World War Two bundle here For my print-and-go resources and full lessons, please visit my shop here

Famous Scientist Timeline

Pictures of famous scientists in chronological order running from the Ancient Greeks up to modern day 'TV' scientists. Each page has a picture and a description of what the scientist discovered. I have done my best to include scientists from a wide range backgrounds but unfortunately, there's no getting away from the fact that most historical scientists were white males. I also don't teach much biology so most of the scientists are chemists or physicists. Feel to comment back on scientists you think should be included and why and I'll try to update it.

My fourth lesson for AS Islam. This lesson will take more than one lesson. It includes a timeline and tasks that I set using the WJEC year 1 textbook on the early life of the Prophet Muhammad. As part of another lesson and for homework, my classes watch Rageh Omar’s BBC documentary on the life of Muhammad. The other excellent documentary to accompany this lesson or for homework would be to use PBS A Legacy of a Prophet.

HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE TIMELINE

A Timeline constructed by Tor Alexander Bruce over several months from research via Books, Websites, Discussions, Library visits and DVD-viewing. The resource is a multi-page Excel-spread sheet, stemming from what we currently regard as the birth of the Universe, through each stage of the evolution of the picture we regard as the natural world, through to educated-views of where our human desire to exhaust all natural resources may lead us and the co-inhabitants of Earth. The document was originally compiled as a War-Chart, to highlight the varying stages of man's inhumanity to man, but the research led to documenting everything from archaeological discoveries resulting in greater knowledge of human development, to detailed information relating to prehistoric-earth; world leadership through the ages and facts relating to the resources that have allowed the human species to develop in the way they have.

A document relaying the findings taken from a Year 11 PSHE class as the students were asked to enter open discussion and complete a Reality Timeline in relation to their lives. The lesson led to the students expressing 'their&' views and painting a picture of what life means to them and how they felt. The discussion led to a shared view that the channels of &';support' within schools could be made clearer and that PSHE-type lessons &'could&'; focus on the 'real&' picture.

I use them by cutting them out and sticking them on to the centre of old records (45s) and using them as a large wall display in my department. The students find them very useful and informative. Have update included nationalism, 20th C and 21st C. Thanks for looking!

Anne Frank Digital Timeline, Research and Sorting Activity

A great digital research and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to Anne Frank and some of the key events of World War 2. Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. There are 43 posters or task cards that include many of the key events from her life, from her birth, her time in the annex, to her time spent in the concentration camps and her eventual death alongside her sister. When downloaded this resource includes a printable version of the timeline display and sorting activity and a PDF with a link that allows you to copy the Google Slides document and save it in your Google Drive. The research and sorting activity is differentiated into two levels: with dates and without dates. Lower-level students can sort the events using the dates, whilst higher level students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. This activity is an online resource, that uses Google Slides, and is linked to your Google Drive. It can be completed by students online using tablets or computers. However, the resource also comes in a PDF format, which can be printed. Please ensure when you download this resource into Google Drive that you are logged in to the Gmail account where you wish to store the activity. In the past teachers have downloaded resources into their school account in error. Thanks :) Please check out my store, Creative Primary Literacy, for more resources.
