Holidays French RAP - updated

Fun rap for the whole class either one line each, or in pairs, or all together. Fantastic for GCSE learning with multiple tenses. Worksheet for translation games and vocab (translation) noting. I use the worksheet to call out the English, they try to identify the phrase - everyone then writes it down. Go into your colleague’s class and perform it!

To consolidate Fou de musique and Fête de la musique from Studio 3. Revision of perfect tense and complex sentences and word order issues in French. Lots of practice on verbs , past tense in particular, practice on complex structures using ’ after having + past participles ’ and also a strong focus on French word order when talking about types of music, types of concerts etc… The text can be exploited in may ways, I have written myself, used a class and paired reading, translations etc…

Updated 25/3 - More lessons for Vert added. Resources for the first few lessons on this module with 2 different classes. Covers similar ground but more quickly for Rouge (they have fewer lessons) and with tenses. References to reading tasks may be other files I have uploaded here. I have taken a few slides (mostly typed up textbook resources) from other resources found on TES so thanks if that was you!

A2 AQA French Cultural Topic-Stromae

Sequence of lessons about Stromae (Belgian singer/songwriter). With my Y13 class I covered both albums (but not all songs) and by the end, students said they felt ready for both the Writing and Speaking components of the exam. (They achieved 100% A*-C with 25% A*-A in August 2015) His biography, his writing style, his approach to media, his use of technology and his potential future in the international music industry are covered. Emphasis is placed on exam requirements, questions found on the AQA website and past papers/oral exams. Many resources were inspired by resources found on the internet however I put a significant amount of time planning full lessons which would enable students to understand/fulfill AQA's expectations while incorporating games and lighter tasks. The last 8 attachments are pictures I took on Y13s last day at school: they created a giant mind map about what they had learnt. I hope you find all these resources helpful. Please don't hesitate to comment/ask.
