A great help
It's good; but incomplete. For example, the plan says "Show the children an extract from a video about life for the poor in the nineteenth century. Discuss the extract..." -- As a person who is from another country, I know nothing about the Victorians. Therefore, I'm going to have to spend many hours researching the gaps in the plan such as this. Why not provide a link to YouTube if the author has done this already? In the modern world, if the video doesn't exist online (no link) then we can't show it. We don't use DVD players anymore and no one certainly uses projectors or television VCRs. I realise this is a free resource, but still. When I plan, I make sure the content exists before writing it up. I can't just say "play a video about how democracy works" if there are no videos which are kid friendly and understandable for primary. I'd find a link, then write up show the video from...
