This is my take on the boarding and landing card passes, an idea found in the book Talk-Less Teaching: Practice, Participation and Progress written by Isabella Wallace and Leah Kireman.
It is in an editable format so you can adapt it for your needs. I have also uploaded a pdf version for those of you who would like to use it as it is.
Boarding passes are used at the start of the lesson to gage prior learning and children’s understanding of what is to come. The landing pass is used at the end of the lesson to get an insight into children’s current learning and to help with future planning and intervetion. A great AfL strategy that can be used in all lessons.
