Figures of Speech - Playlist and Teaching Notes
In this playlist, students explore standard L.9-10.5.A. They will analyze and interpret effective figures of speech (e.g., euphemism, oxymoron) in literature. Students will identify and understand the roles of figures of speech in a text. Students also have the option to view instructional videos and complete practice quizzes or activities.

The playlist includes:

• 3 links to practice quizzes or activities
• 1 assessment that includes five multiple choice questions
• Definitions of key terms, such as paradox and euphemism
• Examples of how to analyze the role of euphemism and oxymoron in a text
