Help children recognise words that begin with the new sound they are learning. Children colour the correct pictures that begin with the phonics sound they are working on.
This resource could also be placed in a ‘Smartpal’ or poly pocket and children can use the big outline of the letter ‘A’ to follow with their finger/mould with playdough etc. as a starter/early finisher activity.
