Literature Circles for Middle and High School Levels ---Bonus Videos!!

What are Literature Circles?
In literature circles involve small groups of students who gather together to discuss a piece of literature in depth.
The discussion is guided by pupils’ response to what they have read. You may hear talk about events and characters in the book, the author’s craft, or personal experiences related to the story. Source:

This form of grouping helps the students to dive into complex literature in several different ways. For example, within this study packet the students will take the following roles:

1. Discussion Director
2. Vocabulary Enricher
3. Literary Luminary/Observer
4. Contemplative Connector
