Metal Health Awareness Week

Key Stages 3 to 5

10th to 16th May 2021

Studies show that COVID-19 has been having a detrimental impact on people’s mental health. According to recent research conducted by mental health charity, Young Minds, more than half of parents and carers are concerned about the long-lasting effects the pandemic is having on their children’s mental wellbeing.

Although the term ‘mental health’ is widely used today, there continues to be a stigma and discrimination attached to it. Even though one in four of us will be affected at some point in our lives, people often feel uncomfortable about discussing their mental health issues.

This age-appropriate, thought-provoking assembly aims to;

• Raise awareness of a range of mental health issues
• Offer suggestions as to where support can be accessed
• Give students a number of strategies which can be used to help and support friends and families with their mental wellbeing.

Comprising of a;

• 26-slide PowerPoint presentation
• Detailed accompanying script
• Music accompaniment
• Relevant prayer.

This informative assembly will save you hours of preparation time, simply download and go.
