A short, catchy song on YouTube to help children learn their number bonds to 10. Copy and paste the video link below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-74-_3WSrD0The document attached is a blank number sentence sheet, should you require it.
I swear by this! It was impossible to remember the number bonds to 10 so I made a song! My Year 1's and I sing this song very regularly to the tune of twinkle twinkle) and they have remembered their number bonds ever since!

I couldn't find any materials on this when I needed to teach my year 3 class what the equals sign REALLY meant.
I have included the lesson plan I used, the 3 differentiated worksheets and a Powerpoint I made.
Please keep in mind this is for year 3/4 children (as from previous comments) not particularly designed for higher year groups.
Also have included a homework set of resource sheets (could alternatively be used in class as a reinforcement at a later date.)
Worksheets suitable for 7-9 year olds a lot of them with 3 differentiated abilities.
I have now included a large number of other word problems in this resource suitable for year 3/4 and could obviously be adapted for other year groups.
Please find enclosed within this download the following resources:
A fully interactive and animated PowerPoint that shows how to work out sequences using clearly outlined animations that shows children how to visualise how to 'count on', or 'count back' along their sequences. Also, there is an example worksheet to go alongside the PowerPoint.
In addition to this, the PowerPoint includes a learning objective, differentiated success criteria and a count-down timer so children can see how much longer they have left in the lesson. The PowerPoint also has a starter activity (angles) to settle down the class as they start the lesson and get their 'maths heads' on.
Finally, this PowerPoint includes a differentiated task to give your class to use alongside the PowerPoint that ties in with the learning objective.
As always, I have used every resource I sell with my own classes (both past and present) to ensure they are correctly pitched and can be used successfully to aid children in their learning.
