This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard K.N.1.2, in which students will understand that numbers represent the amount of objects (up to 10) in a set. Use the first sheets to teach your lesson. Count the amount of objects in boxes aloud to your students as you point to them. When you are finished counting, ask them how many objects are in the box. To individually assess your students, have them count the objects in each box. When they finish counting, ask them how many objects were in the box.
