Persuasive Writing - White House Rooms
PERSUASIVE WRITING, EASY ENOUGH FOR FIRST GRADE! Theris is a complement to a President Unit. Students look at individual White House rooms, in color. They decide which room they like best and write adjectives and nouns that describe objects in the room. Then students have a graphic organizer, an OREO organizer, to plan the parts of their "persuasive writing." The introductory "opinion" will be "I believe that everyone should spend some time in the ________on the new White House tour." The graphic organizers information can easily be written into persuasive writing pieces, ready to display.
