## Place Value Chart Worksheet

A Microsoft Publish document, which I had pupils use in an ICT based maths lesson. They had to arrange the PV column headings into the table, then decorate the border to personalise. We printed them, then I laminated them and we used them with whiteboard pens to answers questions related to multiplying and dividing by powers of 10. It really helped the less able.

#### Place Values Chart

Ideally, this should be laminated. It is intended for use with non-permanent markers and also with concrete materials (e.g. counters or glass beads) or digits cut out of card. It is useful for showing students how numbers change as they move to different places, and also for expressing long numbers as words by using the words at the top of the page. It can also be used for adding and subtraction.

I made this to help the children find it hard to remember key conversion facts and whether they need to multiply or divide in order to make the conversion. It's worked well for us so hopefully other people may find it useful.

#### Place Value Chart

This chart includes millions, tenths and hundredths. Note it prints out as tiles so they can be put together to make a huge poster for display and laminated. It can be used as a game with the children inserting digit cards in the correct place to make the number requested. Or it can also be used to demonstrate what happens to the numbers when they are multiplied by 10, 100, 1000 etc.

#### KS2 KS3 Levels 2 to 8 Maths APP Tracking Sheets

I compiled each of the levels 2 to 8 for maths APP onto a separate sheet for each level. We print these on A3 sheets and use the date/pupil notes sections to record details of when we cover a topic, and names/details of those pupils who have experienced difficulties.
Find above-level-8 objectives, and on the final sheet are all objectives numbered which we use for targets when report writing.
This has proved a real time saver for us, as we focus our attentions on the pupils who struggled with an objective, rather than those who completed it successfully.
