Place Value HTO Division Mat

This easy-to use mat can be printed and laminated, and used with Place Value counters to help children understand how to divide using the bus-stop method of short division.

Counters can be placed within each column to represent HTO (can also be used with TO) and the divisor can be written outside of the bus-stop.

By partitioning the number to be divided into H, T and O, children can clearly see when a number is divisible by the divisor, or if they have to ‘carry’ a counter over to the adjacent column on the right.
