#### Pythagoras Football

Visual learning resource incorporating football into mathematics. Based on Pythagoras' Theorem/Right triangle trigonometry

This resource uses the olympics and the current Euro football to be able to answer pythagoras questions. The football one is in 3D for the higher ability pupils. There are additional questions for the pupils to answer as well.

A powerpoint with some of the most well known French footballers playing in the French team this summer. This can be used as a display or teaching resource. I print them off, laminate and stick around the school. Sorry that there are 10 rather than 11 but I have gone for the best known and am waiting to see who Didier picks in his starting line up. Hope it's useful.
Typically, France's top scorer wasn't on my powerpoint, so I have now added him! Sorry that this is rather too late, but I thought it might be useful for some who might want to use the slides after the Euros finish.
Thank you for all the kind comments and Allez les bleus!

An interactive excel file that allows classes of pupils to choose a set of teams for the Euro 2016 competition, throughout the tournament the scores can be entered and the leader of the class fantasy league seen.
This allows introduction to using excel, using data entry and simple formulas.
Can be run by the teacher - or with older children ( yr 5 - 6) by them using a spread sheet programme.
Could also be a starter for using Powerpoint - what works well? What would you have changed?

This activity is useful as a plenary or starter activity. The pupils are presented with being asked to decorate the Rooney home. They have to work out the perimeter (for decorating the walls) or the area (for the carpets). I think it works well when pupils are to work together.
