Your favourite primary curriculum picks

The start of the academic year is always a busy time on the TES Resources site, and lots of you have been searching for resources that relate to the new primary curriculum. We’ve taken a look at the top downloads and hand-picked some of the most popular for your perusal.

In addition to overview maps (£2) and long-term planning across the key stages, we're seeing a big demand for spelling-related resources.  This complete spelling scheme has been well-liked, as have these year-specific schemes (£10) and word lists.  In terms of assessment, this set of guided reading record sheets are garnering positive reviews and these colourful writing target sheets (£1), aimed at specific year groups, will brighten up any exercise book.

General resources that support long term planning, such as this curriculum overview (£2) and this objective framework, are being downloaded frequently, alongside weekly planning documents and assessment rubrics (£3).

What else?

In the world of science, this new assessment grid (£1), which caters for all year groups and uses stages rather than levels, is proving a hit. Just like this new curriculum-friendly scheme of work on animals including humans for Year 6

Other popular picks include this KS2 history breakdown (£10) and a whole-school overview of the ICT curriculum, and there's no surprise that these ‘I can’ statements for English, maths and science remain highly sought-after.
