Key Stage 3 Revision Pictures Blockbuster

Key Stage 3 Revision Pictures Blockbuster

Here is a variation of my Pictures Blockbusters template for PowerPoint designed specifically for KS3 pupils. It offers a great way to revise about numbers, time, sports, likes and dislikes, opinions, school subjects, school routine... The concept is simple. 25 boxes are filled with numbers, questions or English words that pupils have to say in French. If the pupils answer correctly you click on the box and it disappears. I used for this template images from France so the pupils can discover a new tourist attraction every time.

Booklets (student and staff version) that we use to prepare our students for the oral exam and use with the assistant(e). I have also included a PowerPoint you will need to adapt to explain the structure and marking of the oral to students and two PowerPoints about key phrases. I think they are self explanatory. Hope it helps.

This is a worksheet to go along with the 11 minute long video by Cyprien. It is available on youtube and is a perfect source material for the new GCSE module on technology.Be careful, the video contains mild swearing (I just ignored that with my class and they didn't ask)

GCSE FRENCH - Technology in Everyday Life - COLOUR MATCH

GCSE FRENCH - Technology in Everyday Life - COLOUR MATCH

This is a colour match exercise to practise vocabulary from the AQA syllabus. Students find a pair which mean the same, in English and French. They then colour them the same colour. If they run out of colours they could use stripes, spots etc. If you are short on time they could number the boxes instead of colouring them in. The second sheet is for students to fill in the words as they find them and then to use as a vocab list. This is useful for a starter, a cover lesson or a homework

Des opinions sur la technologie

Des opinions sur la technologie

I used this with my Y12 group to encourage them to generate opinions about various different aspects of new technology as part of the AS French Unit on Cybersociété. The aim is for them to try to see both positives and negatives. We then debated these in class with students trying to argue against each other. I have put an "agreeing and disagreeing" worksheet on TES which helps with this.
