Tenses and Translations practice in French with the topic of health and illnesses

Tenses and Translations practice in French with the topic of health and illnesses

This progressive resource is aimed at students learning French at low and higher levels. It contains a list of regular and irregular verbs related to the health-illnesses topic. The conjugation of irregular verbs and verbs with spelling changes is included. Students can refer to it when doing the activities. The tenses used in the exercices are: present, perfect, imperfect, future, conditional and pluperfect. Students can fill the gaps with just the tense you are studying. I have also included the answers in French as well as in English so that the resource can be used to practice translating (some notes were added to help doing just that). This resource allows me to check the progress of my students: Once they master the present, perfect, imperfect and future, I ask them to do the conditional and pluperfect tenses exercices. The game 'Translate and reveal the French expression' can be used as homework or pair work (all tenses are needed except the pluperfect). You will also find in my shop fgibbison, some vocabulary, reading and listening (with recording) resources related to this topic and many other fun resources in English, German and Spanish.I would love to hear how you got on with this resource: Thank you for leaving a review.I thoroughly review my resources to ensure that they are accurate. However, should you find some errors, I would appreciate if you could let me know. Merci Françoise.

Expo 3 (Rouge) - Ça ne va pas - Illnesses and injuries in the perfect tense

Great lesson, based on Expo 3 (Rouge) spread of 'Ça ne va pas'. Builds on prior knowledge of illnesses and injuries in the present tense, and works on using reflexive verbs with être in the perfect tense to describe problems with the body. Lesson begins with a re-cap of various body parts, then moves on to ask students to match the first and second half of sentences describing injuries in the past tense to five images. Reading, mini whiteboard translation and writing activities follow, with 'être' song to re-cap verb in present tense if teacher wishes. Splat game to review learning at the end of the lesson. Fully differentiated with 'Want support' and 'Challenge options'. Fully animated with all answers and notes for teachers underneath slides if helpful. Worksheet and full lesson PowerPoint in bundle.Interactive and great fun to teach!

GCSE FRENCH - Social Issues - Health - COLOUR MATCH

GCSE FRENCH - Social Issues - Health - COLOUR MATCH

This is a colour match exercise to practise vocabulary from the AQA syllabus. Students find a pair which mean the same, in English and French. They then colour them the same colour. If they run out of colours they could use stripes, spots etc. If you are short on time they could number the boxes instead of colouring them in. The second sheet is for students to fill in the words as they find them and then to use as a vocab list. This is useful for a starter, a cover lesson or a homework

IGCSE extended topic booklets for independent study

IGCSE extended topic booklets for independent study

I have created these booklets for my year 10 students who were taking their IGCSE in French a year early, so they could work independently while I taught the rest of the class. These booklets are designed to revise the main vocabulary, introduce extended vocabulary through a variety of exercises, revise key grammar points (main tenses, pronouns, etc) as well as introduce more advanced grammar (clauses with 'si', the subjunctive, etc). They also provide opportunities for reading and writing exercises. These booklets can also be used as a teaching aid, revision aid or for cover work. Each booklet takes roughly 4-5 hours to complete, if done carefully. I have also included a speaking booklet for students to prepare for their speaking exams.
