GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR CHRISTMAS BINGO! Before playing, read all the words out loud in GERMAN several times, with students repeating carefully - this not only helps students develop their GERMAN pronunciation, but also introduces them to words they may not actually know. There are some nice long words to encourage students to look very closely! Students can also have their own calling card to read out loud from, one for a small group of students is sufficient - this will help them to link sound and spelling in GERMAN. The words focus on definite and indefinite article, plural and singular, masculine, feminine and neuter, which maximizes opportunity to practice grammatical concepts too. Give students a little time to have a quick look over their grids first. Create bingo teams, each with a CHRISTMAS team name - playing competitively in teams keeps up a lively pace! For each game, select a different Christmas word as the ‘winning word’ for students to call out when they win the game. Students must recite all the words in their grids to check that they have actually won - also giving another opportunity for practicing language. Call out GERMAN words for GERMAN grids, GERMAN words for English grids, and English words for GERMAN grids to vary the challenge. Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully. This resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. VIELEN DANK UND FROHE WEIHNACHTEN!

The Christmas Zombie Invasion!

The Christmas Zombie Invasion!

This is a highly entertaining Christmas lesson full of fun activities. Complete and ready to use. There’s nothing like zombies to capture the imagination of students! The lesson includes a fully explained activity where students build and fire simple catapults made from lolly (popsicle) sticks. This is done in the classroom (no need to go outside). You do NOT (not!) need to know how to build the catapult, the lesson carefully guides students so they can do it without help ! A story about an invasion of zombie Santas is told. Christmas is in jeopardy! The learners have to try to save Christmas by defeating the zombie horde and finding a cure to turn the zombies back into humans. All instructions are included and the lesson teaches the learners almost automatically, any of us can give this fun and imaginative lesson. How can we stop the zombie horde? How do we cure the zombies turning them back into people? Can your class save Christmas? The length of the lesson is very flexible depending on your needs. There are add and delete activities so the lesson can easily last anywhere between 0.5 hours and 1.5 hours depending on what you want. This lesson gets the learners out of their seats, keeps them happy, focused and engaged as they work in teams building and creating. There’s nothing like zombies to capture the imagination of students! It's a great lesson that teachers of any subject can use with all ages from 6 to 16. It won't go out of date (like a quiz might) so you can use it for years to come, which makes it excellent value at this price ! As well as being great fun and entertaining it is also educational and includes: literacy, numeracy, SMSC, team working skills, questions with answers, physical coordination skills, activities with answers, play ball game, joke telling etc High quality, ready to use lesson - great for teachers of all subjects!
