They encourage students to focus on high-frequency ITALIAN verbs, are ideal for independent learning and perfect for pair and small-group work - the activity really does help to create a lively language learning environment. This set features 99 high-frequency verbs in ITALIAN and English in the infinitive form, with THREE games and THREE levels of challenge: CHILLOUT CHALLENGE features the verbs in alphabetical order, ITALIAN to English CHAMPION CHALLENGE features the verbs in topsy-turvy order, ITALIAN to English SUPERCHARGED CHALLENGE features the verbs in topsy-turvy order, ENGLISH to ITALIAN - your students will really have to know their ITALIAN verbs to complete this sequence in record time! I’ve included reference sheets of all verbs in both alphabetical and topsy-turvy order for students to use as a learning support resource. PLAY THE NUMBER GAMES! These are fast-paced vocab quizzes, great for starter, warm-up, refresher and plenary activities at regular intervals across the school year - choose a language calling out either the ITALIAN or ENGLISH verb, with students responding either verbally or in writing on a mini-whiteboard - I've also included two NUMBER GAME calling lists, both ITALIAN and ENGLISH. THE NUMBER GAMES can be played as a team game, with small groups, or with students playing as individuals against each other. GRUPPO UNO is a useful complementary resource to my other ITALIAN VERBS resources, but works perfectly well as a standalone resource too. I've classed the game as suitable for ages 11-18, but it really does depend on when your students begin ITALIAN - the games work well with any appropriate grade group, depending on their starting point. Laminating is definitely a good idea - you'll be able to use your DINKY ITALIAN DOMINOES for many years to come! The resource comprises a single non-editable file - for a specific focus on these verbs, have a look at the combined pack of games, activities, differentiated recall challenges, dominoes games and vocabulary quizzes at the special price of £5.00: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/italian-verbs-games-and-activities-11499010 Please read the Terms of Use carefully the resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only.
