Calculus Link Sheet Package (12 Templates)

This package includes 12 templates to help students understand and make connections between the equations, tables, and graphs of functions and relations. These link sheets allow students to view multiple representations and to have a graphic organizer to guide them through various topics covered in AP Calculus. The teacher will begin by giving students an equation or situation for a specific template. The students will complete the table, graphs, and understanding questions on the remainder of the link sheet. This activity is great for students to work collaboratively and share and discuss the connections in math with one another. These activities will allow students to gain a better understanding of domain, range, limits, points of discontinuity, extended functions, removable discontinuities, differentiability, maximums, minimums, shelfs, increasing and decreasing intervals, concavity, sign charts, optimization, related rates, linearization, differentials, chain rule, composite functions, net area, total area, integrals, and separable differential equations. This is a whole lesson (second) that builds on my the first lesson introducing the topic of differentiation. It builds on the first lesson by looking at slightly more tricky examples of differentiation and how to re-arrange indices in particular. It then looks at applications of differentiation in terms of finding the gradient of curves. The lesson comes with a starter, lots of teaching examples, notation explanations, answers and plenary. It also includes some excellent exam practise to help pupils practise directly the style they will have to face as well as a jargon busting sheet to help them with marking. This is my first A-Level lesson introducing what differentiation is and basic methods. This like all of my introductory lessons is very thorough and has plenty of material, superb examples and teaching slides, embedded questions for testing understanding, learning objectives, key words and plenary. It comes with an additional worksheet with answers incorporated. This is an excellent first lesson introducing differentiation and comes as a calculus bundle of lessons and I recommend buying them as a series as the lesson do flow from one to another.
