Matchup activity on the theme of 'Flags with Stars'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. The repetition of the word over and over as they look for the word is useful in remembering the terms. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!

This is a lesson designed for a year 9/GCSE group. The lesson is about what is development is and how it is measured using different indicators. Key facts about the lesson are: 1. Content covered in this lesson are what is development, various indicators of development and comparing HICs and LICs. 2. The key skills that students will used in this lesson are map skills, picture analysis, use of statistical data and extended writing. 3. The lesson is planned in detail and all the resources for teaching the lesson are included in the ppt; starter (map task), learning activities with resources, clear outline of learning tasks and a plenary (quiz). Just download and teach! 4. The lesson is differentiated for both low ability and high ability students. There are challenged tasks as well as support resources for low ability students.
