Spanish Resources - House and Home

Spanish Resources - House and Home

This is a resource to introduce and reinforce Vocabulary and sentences describing House and Homes. It contains help to practise Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. I have used it with year 8 students and worked really well. They enjoyed especially the writing task with pictures of Famous Artists. Easy to adapt to French and German.

I Spy - 6 lesson module

This is my version of a great idea developed in Norfolk by some teachers and Adam Cooke, LA advisor. On the Norfolk LA website you can find French and German versions of the lessons, complete with plans, individual word documents and worksheets etc.. I believe there is also a Spanish version but before I found it, I'd adapted the idea from the French one to make this resource. It includes a real focus on pronunciation & phonics as well as leading up to the writing of a present tense story using 'interesting' AR regular verbs.

Los pronombres

Los pronombres

This is the lesson from our Y7 Spanish SOW where we introduce the pronouns. It includes gestures and music - I've been able to include the music as it's home-made and therefore copyright free - hurrah! Students just chant the pronouns in time - each round of music fits the 8 pronouns exactly.

Spanish Spelling - Como se escribe

Spanish Spelling - Como se escribe

Very simple powerpoint with places around the world with really long names. Will hopefully make practising spelling more fun! This is useful as a cross-curriculum geography activity.

Spanish Alphabet Flipchart

Spanish Alphabet Flipchart

Alphabet rap is like the Marmite / Sergeant major rap. I get the class to march on the spot first, then we march around the classroom. Once confident, a pupil takes over as leader / caller. Follow up - spelling names of people in the class (Ps write on miniboards), back or hand writing (depends on age and sensibility of Ps!) or even body writing (write the letter with your hand, both hands, nose, head, bottom etc)

PowerPoint Presentation to introduce / revise / practice the alphabet. Good for KS1, 2 and 3. Can also be used as displays so students can look at the phonetic of each letter.
