I currently teach IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Also A level Biology. The resources I produce for my lessons are carefully planned and I try to involve a lot of self-learning to allow students to develop these important skills needed for further education.

A complete lesson giving an overview of how the corona virus infects the lung tissue and why some people have a more severe reaction that can lead to death. There are a series of tasks so students are independently learning along with lots of opportunity for class discussion. I have also included some video clips to aid understanding further. This lesson can be adapted for KS3 - KS5

A series of questions focused on the scientific article for the IAL Edexcel exam - unit 5. There is a teacher answer sheet included. I have also included a copy of the Scientific Article from Edexcel Unit 5 Exam and definitions for vocabulary. I have used my own resources and a few slides from other Tes members (thank you!) to put together a PPT which recalls the equation for momentum and then looks at how to calculate force using the change of momentum and time. There are also exam questions included for extra practice!

A PPT with information regarding the 2 types of fibres. Students collect information about the fibres from around the room (included in PPT) and complete a table stating the differences. They can then use their knowledge to predict the types of fibres found in different animal muscles. There is an exam question and mark scheme to determine understanding of subject material. I have included the lesson plan I provided when I was observed so feel free to tweak it to suit your group.

Acceleration PPT recaps over the speed and velocity covered in previous lesson. There are worksheets with questions on with varying ability of challenge. Graphing speed introduces the idea of how different graphs can be used to calculate distance, speed and velocity. I have used other people´s resources found online - Matrix car chase and calculation worksheets.

A series of exam questions which compliments the Scientific article - From Organoids to Gastruloids The topics covered include Epigenetics; Stem cells; Fertilisation; Genetics; Protein synthesis; mutations; immune system plus many more. I have included an answer sheet. This task can be set as homework or a class activity. It will give students an idea of the range of questions they could be asked but also is a great revision activity highlighting areas they may need to revise. There are over 10 pages of questions. I have included a copy of the article - please note, I am not charging for this. I have included it as many people have not been able to find it on the Pearson website. To print a copy, use another web browser to Google because it prints with the term “draft” incribed across the page.
