A two-hour, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2 which allows students explore the basics of first aid and how we should respond to emergency situations. Students will investigate what the signs are of various emergency situations, where they can go for help and how they could be treated.

Mental health introductory lesson, created for new 2020 Guidelines. A fully-resourced, detailed and differentiated 1 hour lesson introducing the concept of mental health and mental health issues. The lesson allows students to explore common reasons why we can all experience mental health issues sometimes, where we can go for further help if we need it, the importance of sharing our worries with trusted parents and guardians if we can and what some common mental health issues are (as well as how we can take steps to positively influence our own mental health). This is best suited for KS2 - but could be used with a Year 7 group too (especially a lower ability one).

The Russian Invasion of Ukraine - 1 hour lesson ( KS2 / KS3)
A detailed, differentiated and editable 1 hour lesson all about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In this lesson, the students will learn about the history of Ukraine, and navigate the events that have led to the current conflict. We will discuss the reasons why Putin has ordered the invasion, as well as looking at the response of the international community.

Safer Internet Day 2023 - Life Online
A 1-2-hour, all new PSHE online safety lesson suitable for KS2, or possibly younger students in KS3 (Year 7).
The topic for this year is ‘Life Online’, so the lesson covers a variety of issues, including cyber-bullying, online-scams, identity theft and age-appropriate content.
The students will identify the issues explore the best safety rules to use as well as why they need to use them.
This is all new content (2023) and all editable.
The lesson includes an information sheet, a key term matching activity, a video clip activity, a set of fake news case files, and a plenary task.

An assembly all about our new PM, Rishi Sunak. Linked to British values, the assembly briefly explains how our politicians are democratically elected, and summarises the events that have lead to Rishi Sunak’s appointment as PM. Why is the news important? KS2 PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. This lesson has been created for Year 3, however, the resource is suitable for use across KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss what the news is and why people access it. We will discuss whether the news is always reliable, and reflect on why access to truthful and trustworthy news is important. The students will use their fact-checking skills to analyse a set of fake news case files. Fracking and the environment
A detailed, differentiated and editable 1-2 hour lesson all about fracking and the government’s decision to lift, and then immediately reimpose a ban that had been in place since 2019.
In this lesson, the students will learn how oil and gas are extracted from the Earth using both traditional mining and in the case of shale gas, fracking.
We will investigate the reasons why fracking is a highly controversial tropic and discuss arguments for and against it. The lesson is ideally suited to students in UKS2 (Year 6) or younger students in KS3 (Year 7).

Throughout the lesson students will evaluate the pros and cons of both of these ideas (equality of opportunity vs using equity to reach equality of outcome). An Anti-bullying assembly which follows the story of Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter) and how he was the target of bullying as he grew up and how he dealt with this. The assembly doesn’t just focus on the obvious reasons why bullying is wrong, but also some less obvious reasons which students might not have thought of before, to create more of an impact.
The second half of the assembly focuses on respect - looking at what respect means in practice before ending with some helpful takeaway tips. The assembly will last around 15-20 minutes if clip is watched (3 mins) and suggested questions are asked too. Everything is editable.
