Plant Facts Scavenger Hunt: This scavenger hunt introduces to students about the some of the FACTs things on the various plants and science behind it. There are 20 scavenger hunt cards with colorful pictures. It’s a great tool for to review about the facts with science and vocabulary on plant. Preview images may have reduced picture quality due to jpeg file. But original .pdf file contains clear images. How to Use: Print the given all 20 cards on a card stock or any other good paper and cut them along the black line. Get the print of Plant Facts Scavenger Hunt questions pages and each student should be given this copy. Place Scavenger Hunt cards around the classroom. For example you can place it on chair, on table, on benches, behind the classroom doors, besides the computer or wherever you like. Students have to search the cards in a classroom in order to find out the answers of the questions. Students can complete this exercise in a group with classmate or alone. Earth Scavenger Hunt:- Purpose : At the end of this Scavenger hunt students will be able to learn the Earth/Solar system basic Science & vocabulary on it. Print the 16 Scavenger Hunt cards on card stock or brightly -colored paper and cut them apart along the black lines. Make copies of the Scavenger Hunt questions worksheet. Each student needs a copy. Place the Scavenger Hunt cards around your classroom where students will be able to find them. You can put them on chairs, on the computer keyboard, on the back of your classroom door, on the sides of student desks, on the chalkboard or wherever you like. These PRIMARY LATIN NUMBERS 0-20 CHALLENGE CARDS are perfect for young and beginning learners of LATIN, and really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Children can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of LATIN numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarize themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling in LATIN in general, and certainly in LATIN numbers in particular. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on Numbers 0-20, but also as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn how to count in LATIN, but also to enjoy working with LATIN, and to feel confident about doing so. The questions range in complexity and challenge, and are great for honing numeracy skills too - especially if calculators are not allowed! I’ve used English language mathematical symbols because learners are familiar with these, and are able to access and engage with the questions straightaway. The resource comprises the following non-editable files in a zipped format: Set of 36 question cards, 4 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Print, laminate and cut out. Depending on how long you want the activity to last for, choose a particular number of cards per small group of students, and place them in a tin, bowl or small box so that students can easily select a card, and then replace when they have answered the question. You can simply place all the cards in the bowl/box and let students work their way through, either in a single lesson, or across a series of lessons. Students do need to remember to file their recording sheets carefully! This set includes twelve Latin quotes, by both famous and lesser known authors, with their English translations, to use as display posters in the classroom, for example when teaching a unit on Romans or Ancient History or in any Latin class. After each poster quote I have included some information for the teacher to introduce the new quote to the classs, including a full grammatical Latin explanation of the quote, background information on the author and time, and a section on the meaning and interpretation of this specific quote so students know how and when they could use it in daily life. I use posters like these every week all school year long in my classes, and students collected them in their books and looked forward to the new quote each week. They starting using the most popular quotes in their conversations with each other, and often told me after a test when asked how it went, “oh, veni, vidi, vici!”

The lesson involves group work and introduces pupils to a wide range of mythological creatures from Classical myth to Harry Potter. They learn what stories the creatures come from, why they are appealing and why they are still used today in fiction and films. This lesson can be used as part of project work or even something more creative such as designing a film poster.
