GCSE Bio- Reproduction (Homeostasis) in 30 mins

GCSE Bio- Reproduction (Homeostasis) in 30 mins

This revision lesson covers hormones in reproduction, contraception and hormones to treat infertility from homeostasis. This lesson is designed to be a quick recall lesson that lasts approx 30 mins. The activities range from spot the mistakes in IVF to guess the type of contraception. This allows students to recap the key areas and address any misconceptions they might have in the lead up to their exams. The lesson also includes low demand, standard demand and high demand questions. There is a worksheet for the students to use as they follow the lesson and they can use it as a revision resource afterwards (I recommend to print it in A3). This is found towards the end of the ppt. This lesson is one of many in a series of 30 min revision lessons so do have a look at my other resources.

Formation of tissue fluid

Formation of tissue fluid

A fully resourced, detailed lesson that guides students through the difficult topic of the formation of tissue fluid. This is a topic that is poorly understood and therefore this lesson focuses on breaking down the key details into smaller chunks so that students can access the knowledge. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to explain how the combination of the hydrostatic and oncotic pressure causes a net movement outwards at the arteriole end and a net movement inwards at the venule end. Time is also taken to discuss the accumulation of tissue fluid in oedema and to look at the differences between tissue fluid and lymph. This lesson has been designed for A-level students
