This is the first lesson about Ancient Egypt - It introduces the Egyptians and include a timeline of key events.
It discusses how Egypt used to be split and how these were united.
It explains the difference between the three kingdoms and what happened at them times.
Lastly it talks about how Cleopatra was the final pharoah and who took over after her.

This is a powerpoint explains what is rangoli?, when it is made, how the designs are created, what rangoli is made from and what is created in the rangoli pattern.
After completing the powerpoint i would use the dotted maths paper to create their own rangoli pattern.
This is a full lesson with work at the end of the powerpoint.

This is a complete lesson on the journey of the Three Wise Men.
Starts with a key vocab slide looking at the key words they will come across in the lesson.
Then it is the story of the three wise men - matthew chapter 2 verses 1-12
After this there is explanation of the three gifts and what they were.
Then the Epiphany is explained.
We three kings song is then listened to - video from you tube on powerpoint
this is then pulled apart and discussed as to what each section means - this is my interpretation of the song

This is discussion lesson but at the end i have asked the children to choose a picture and explain in as much detail as they can what it shows.
This lesson looks at what happens during the nativity story - King Herod
It recaps on the the three wise men and then how this links in with King Herod
It include a passage from the bible - Matthew 2 :13-18 which is the King Herod section
It looks at the journey that Mary and Joseph took to get to Egypt when they fled with Jesus and then links this into todays world with refugees.
There is a comprehension task at the end.
Other activities that could be done are a wanted poster for Jesus or a diary entry for one of the days

Here is a lesson all about muscles. I made this for a year 3 class.
The lesson includes:
WALT: know why we need muscles to move
chnildren re taught about how muscles allow movement - look s at the 3 types of muscles found in the body - skeletal, smooth, cardiac. with a description
There are a couple of links t videos within the powerpoint to watch and make notes on.
The powerpoin then moves onto looking at pairs of muscles that work together - particulary the tricep and bicep
The chn then have two sentences with missing words to complete about the bicep and tricep
Chn then have a comprehension to complete
This powerpoint looks at the dessert and the rainforest areas of Africa. It discusses the climate in the area along with what animals you will find there, plants and climate change.
After this powerpoint we had the children writing a paragraph about each place and what the climate etc is like there.
This powerpoint explains what happens when alcohol is drunk on different parts of the body.
It discusses the negative effects on the body and also the positive.
It has facts on ages alcohol can be drunk and when and how alcohol is made.
After the powerpoint i gave the children a copy of the body and the children labelled the key parts and what the impact of alcohol is on each of these parts.
This powerpoint recognises that environments can change and that this can sometimes pose dangers to living things.
