Creative responses to the uprising in Iran - this session examines Iran’s World Cup campaign 2022 through four lenses - the players, the fans, Iranians back at home and FIFA. By examining news articles from a range of sources, students think through issues such as gender equality, the role of politics in sport, how sport can be a force for good, and how we handle conflicting values.

The pack includes a lesson outline, question sheets for group discussion and links to news articles on which the discussion is based. The linked website also includes up to date information on Iran’s uprising and possible actions.
