This is a four page activity that is great for Spanish Teachers focusing on first year Spanish Language Learners. The day begins with students pairing up and practicing how to talk and write about the weather in different cities in Spain. Then students will create their own weekly weather forecast for a city in Spain. This 62-page long booklet contains a very comprehensive summary of the grammar required to succeed in the new GCSE course. It is divided in three sections, one for each theme of the new GCSE, and withing each of those there are two parts, one dedicated to verbs and one dedicated to all the other lexical categories. Each entry of the booklet focuses on one aspect of grammar, with a brief explanation of how to use the structure that is being covered, the rules and exceptions that need to be taken into account, and a variety of examples. This is always followed by an “Ahora practica” section with activities for the students to complete. Whenever possible, the examples and activities match the theme that the specific structure has been included under (e.g., the majority of examples and activities used to study the present tense will be related to the topics from theme 1 - relationships, technology, leisure and festivals). This is a 12 slide Power Point Lesson that introduces different weather expressions in Spanish. The lesson culminates with an activity where students describe the weather in different regions of Spain based on the map provided. This is a great resource for Spanish Teachers teaching beginning level Spanish.

For pupils who fail to complete tasks, here’s a reminder of what they need to do to get the work done. Also contains some unfinished sentences for them to complete as practice - to be done in detention or at home, in addition to completing the unfinished work.

Activity for pupils who struggle or are reluctant to write the date and title in Spanish. An explanation of how to write the date in Spanish, followed by some example dates to put in Spanish and underline. For a food tasting lesson - This ppt is an introduction to cakes in France, German-speaking countries, and Spain. It includes Youtube clips on how to make madeleines, strudel and turron. After each section, pupils were able to taste madeleines/strudel/pop dots (bunuelos). I bought these in Costco/Sainsbury’s/Costco. After the food tasting had finished, there is a quiz and wordsearch (see attachment).

PRINT CROSSWORD A3 SIZE AND IT PRINTS FINE - PHOTO INCLUDED TO SHOW LAYOUT ONCE PRINTED This crossword is the perfect end of year challenge for KS3 Spanish. The crossword is A3 size and includes 98 across words and 100 down words - which means it is HUGE! My Year 7’s did this recently and absolutely loved it! It’s a great way of rounding off the year and recapping everything done in Year 7. Of course, this crossword can be given to KS4 classes too as quick revision of basic vocabulary. This resource could be used in the classroom or could be set as homework to complete over the summer holidays. It took me a long time to make this, but I would say it’s been well worth it - my pupils have really enjoyed completing it!! :D
